What's the Difference Between 2018 and 2019 Honda Pilot?

The latest mid-size SUV is fresh off a mid-cycle revision for the new model year, and as large crossovers go, it's all a traveling family could hope to find for the Corona, CA area adventure. How 2019 Pilot differs from 2018 is in the details, however. Luckily, we've made it easy to learn all you'd like to know about our automaker's flagship, right here!

For one, handling is more comfortable and confident, owing to further refinements to the SUV's available nine-speed auto transmission. There's more to it than smoother shifts. Its short-ratio gearbox offers both the ease of paddle shifters and shift-by-wire. The former lets you change gears with your hands on the wheel, while the latter helps keep doing so nearly seamless. As it's paired with a standard 280-horsepower V6, which comes ready to churn 262 pound-feet of torque, and available Intelligent Variable Torque Management (i-VTM4) all-wheel-drive, otherwise standard in the Elite trim, there's almost nowhere the new Pilot can't take you. You can even tow up to 5,000 pounds in higher trims, so taking that pair of dirt bikes, jet skis, or even a small towable RV along for the ride's a matter of course.

Secondly, you can look forward to new safety and driver-assist standards. The centerpiece among them is Honda Sensing®, our automaker's exclusive technology suite. It can help keep you on the road, in your lane, safely clear of traffic, and free of accidents. Of course, there's plenty more to look forward to as well. Some highlights of the new 2019 Honda Pilot include:

  • A choice of cloth, leather-trimmed, or perforated seating -- it's available both heated and ventilated in front as well as heated in the back
  • Optional second-row captain's chairs, perforated and heated for the lap of luxury
  • An available 8-inch display audio touchscreen, complete with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to let you connect your smartphone and access its features in-dash
  • An optional Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System&#trade; for getting between destinations in a snap
  • A Blu-ray Player-equipped advanced rear entertainment system and mobile hotspot support to keep everyone occupied
  • Wireless device charging support
  • An available CabinControl&#trade; remote to manage it all, and more

Needless to say, it stands out among new Honda cars and trucks here in Corona. If you're eager to see how it can do so for your family, give us a call here on Pomona Road or stop by our showroom. We'll schedule you a test-drive you won't forget!
